Transition City Manchester are bringing to you a community premier in Manchester:

John Dalton Lecture Hall (CO.14), MMU, Oxford Rd, Manchester

film poster of crude

Directed by Joe Berlinger, this film is about a source of oil discovered in the Amazon rainforest, which has become one of the largest and most controversial environmental legal cases on the planet.  It shows how their oil extraction system led to extreme, systematic pollution, which had devastating effects on the local indigenous communities and infringes upon human rights.  View the trailor here: www.crudethemovie.com/trailer-and-photos/.

This event is open to everyone, so please book now and bring all your friends and colleagues.

With thanks to Manchester Metropolitan University and Action for Sustainable Living.

Directions:
The John Dalton Building is just off Oxford Road and opposite the BBC building. If you enter the John Dalton Building  from the main Oxford Rd entrance walk along the main corridor in front of you ("The Street") to the back of the building where the lecture theatres are located. If you enter the building via the Chester St entrance, the lecture theatres are in front of you as you enter the building.
